Whisper it quietly, but Anton has had quite a dominant start to the year. Hopefully it continues when matches get tougher or closer, as he clearly has talent. I fancy him for a final or win here.

Yes, like you, keeping very hush, but great to see Anton clocking up some good wins....

(and with George too, and Harry, our 2001-ers are beginning to look up - mind you, where's Oscar?)

Lovely to see George back, playing well
Still can't volley, bless his cotton socks, but some real pace and whip on serve and from the back, as he always had

What happened to George. I remember him being touted as the possible next big thing for us a few years back and then he seemed to just go quiet and disappear.
It's good to see him winning so well and of course he is still young so hopefully he can kick on this year.

Anton lost the first 6-4 but has just leveled by winning the second set in a tie-break. He's so interesting/frustrating to watch. He has the weapons to go much much higher but he needs to learn patience and sometimes his matchplay tactics, are just bizarre.

His opponent is a little tricky but nothing special, Anton just needs to stick to his game.

I don't recall George ever really being touted as the next big thing. But he certainly has one or two followers on here.

Not sure all the ins and outs of some long sbsences but good to see him back winning.

Anton battling away.

Into a third set. He had a 4-1* lead in the second set but later had to break and save a couple of MPs at 5-6*.

4-6 7-6(5)

The rumour was that he became disillusioned with all the travelling and decided to take a break.

Sorry George, but this one needs to go to Harry to secure his Top500 spot.

Anton lost in a third-set tie-break. Definitely one he should have won IMO.

Nah, not having that, Mr Bob smile

Allez, George !

(Nothing against Harry, of course, just so nice to see George back)
