Q1: DALEY, Danielle (GBR) (15) 1078 (CH=1057 2022) v WAINWRIGHT, Mia (GBR) WC UNR =CH {15yo JCH=533}
All the girls listed in the Q list are in this draw so any WCs in the main draw are likely to be good juniors or late entries. Eliz Maloney and Sarah Beth Grey are already in the main draw.

Talia and Jasmine are the missing two. Talia should have made the main draw so Jasmine may have a wild card. Katy Dunne, Holly Hutchinson and Alisha Reayer all withdrew yesterday.
I'm surprised Emma Wilson doesn't have a wildcard.
Talia and Jasmine seemingly have wildcards. There are no obvious candidates for the other two wildcards, given the three late withdrawals.
Hep has withdrawn from Australia so maybe she's injured or maybe she just doesn't think the Aussie swing is for her and she'll turn up with a wildcard here

I am afraid that I don't share your surprise. The LTA's policy on wildcards seems always to be that players over 21 are past it thus enabling them to dish the wildcards out to their favourite under 15's!
Looking down the alternates list, possible junior WC candidates could be 15 year old Mia Wainwright JCH 533, 17 year old Given Roach 233, 16 year old Amelie Brooks 630, 16 year old Marilee Raath 225, 17 year old Scarlett Perkins 527, 14 year old Georgiana Metitelu 769.

The first two are in the qualies draw so that rules them out. So there must be some really random choices here!
Hep has withdrawn from Australia so maybe she's injured or maybe she just doesn't think the Aussie swing is for her and she'll turn up with a wildcard here
Hep and Isabelle opted to join a few of our other top juniors for the Latin American hard court swing, which clashes with the Australian Open.

Thanks, David
Very pleased she isn't injured - great to see she's playing - got worried when I saw she'd withdrawn from Oz
But, yep, that's not going to be a wilcard at Loughborough, then....
I think Paulisi's call of Millie R is a very good one, assuming she's still around
As I mentioned elsewhere Millie does have a feed up WC available to her. But NC State are playing the Miami Spring Invite next weekend, starting Friday, which I assume Millie will be involved in.
I think Summer Yardley may have a WC. She was RU and best placed GB woman in the last BT Premier, and although RU doesnt officially get a feed up, none of the other MD feed ups have been given or can be used so they could look to the best GB player in those comps.
There should only be 3 WCs so Talia can get in directly and doesn't use one of her WCs unnecessarily.
Easy enough - Given playing better than I'd ever seen her before - less slice - hitting through the ball better, getting some very good placement on her forehand
6-2 6-3
