Finishing the year 3 time Wheelchair Doubles Masters Champions
6 titles, 3 grand slams, world team cup gold and a masters wraps up a special doubles calendar. Thanks for all the fun out there on court
@GordonReid91
Its been a pleasure. Hungry for more 2024
Good luck Alfie in Barcelona today. He won this title in Britain in 2017 and in the USA in 2021. A third would be lovely.
Looking back , prize money in 2017 was $66k and 2021 $132k, as it was last year. Presumably it is at least $132k this season and probably more although the ITF havent published it yet.
Although the season is effectively over for the top players, there is, in fact, one ITF Series 2 event taking place this week (as well as several much lower events) in France, the Open para tennis du loiret
$28k prizemoney - entry includes Lucy Shuker in womens, Ben Bartram in mens, and Greg Slade in quad
Congrats to Greg Slade. One of the unsung names in para tennis, Greg won the OPEN PARATENNIS DU LOIRET, this weekend. This is an ITF Series 2 event and is equivalent to an ATP 250 relatively - $28k prize money . Greg was unseeded and won both quad singles and doubles, his first titles at this level.
Marvellous!
