So in the post Wimbledon rankings, Lucy Shuker drops several places and out of the top 10 to 14.
I cant recall but am thinking they must have awarded wheelchair ranking points for Wimbledon last year as there are no Russian / Belarussian players on the tour and frankly it isnt a sport that interests those countries at all. So the ranking issue (in what is effectively an invitation event for the top 7 players plus a wild card) probably never became a thing. And Lucy has dropped as a result. Which is fair enough.
Some of the players, such as new mens singles champion Oda, are already playing elsewhere, Oda is in the Swiss Open.
The next big event the Brits will be focused on is the British Open, a super series event (ie like the Masters 1000 events) and being played in 2 weeks time in Nottingham.
There is an ITF Series 1 event in Belgium this week, the Belgian Open. We have British representation with Ben Bartram in mens, Lucy Shuker and Cornelia Oosthuizen in womens - all singles and doubles.
Ben is seeded 7th, Lucy 6th, so not expecting any titles really, although Lucy is seeded 2 in doubles.
The big Super Series British Open starts August 1st, next Tuesday.
Ben went out of singles in his first match, just leaves Lucy in doubles here.
Disappointing week for the Brits.
Lucy is into the womens doubles final in Belgium. Good luck to her today. Seeded second, she and her partner play the top seeds and clear favourites. You never know though

Well, Lucy and partner surprised me and went and won the title in the Belgium Open series 1 event. Well done to them
