I agree you won't get many more votes but probably get some and some folk might miss out that would have liked to have voted. And while unlikely it could effect a close contest.

kudos, you called it right Indy !

Here is the updated leaderboard for titles wins at end of week 43. With 5 weeks left in the counting season, it is hard to see anyone from below this list coming through to top the table, but you never know!

The main moves this week are Maia joining Alfie and Mimi at the top of the table; and Julian and Emile coming onto 4 titles as well.

Player WINS
Alfie Hewett 6
Maia Lumsden 6
Mingge Xu 6

Benjamin Gusic Wan 5
Brooke Black 5
Charlie Robertson 5
Hannah Klugman 5
Hannah Read 5
Johannus Monday 5
Luke Johnson 5
Mark Ceban 5

Emile Hudd 4
Emily Appleton 4
Gordon Reid 4
Grace Chinwike 4
Henry Searle 4
Jamie Murray 4
Julian Cash 4
Marcus Willis 4
Naiktha Bains 4
Sarah Beth Grey 4

With 6 finals today, my eye is closely on Alfie and Gordon in Barcelona and also Marcus Willis making a little charge in Sunderland. I think the others above are out of action this week at least.

Week 44 is over and Alfie gets two titles to take him clear at the top. With 4 weeks left, the good news for the other players is that Alfies season is over. Can anyone catch him? Marcus and Giles gave it a go with titles of their own, but still fell further behind Alfie!

Player WINS
Alfie Hewett 8

Maia Lumsden 6
Mingge Xu 6

Benjamin Gusic Wan 5
Brooke Black 5
Charlie Robertson 5
Gordon Reid 5
Hannah Klugman 5
Hannah Read 5
Johannus Monday 5
Luke Johnson 5
Marcus Willis 5
Mark Ceban 5

Emile Hudd 4
Emily Appleton 4
Giles Hussey 4
Grace Chinwike 4
Henry Searle 4
Jamie Murray 4
Julian Cash 4
Naiktha Bains 4
Sarah Beth Grey 4

Looking back on the 4 years of the Player of the Season, 4 players have now qualified in all 4 years. It is still possible that a couple of players that have previously qualified all 3 years could still join them (namely Joe Salisbury and Harriet Dart) but the 4 players who have made it a perfect 4 with qualifying this year are:

Andy Lapthorne - consistently our top Quad wheelchair player

Alfie Hewett - consistently our top mens wheelchair player

Neal Skupski - not always been our top mens doubles player, but always been up there for 4 years

Dan Evans - as per Neal, has been up there as one of our top few mens singles (and doubles) players over the 4 years.

Those on 3 appearances (as well as Joe and Harriet above) include Liam Broady, Billy Harris, Cam Norrie, Hannah Klugman - all of whom have qualified this year already - and Emma Raducanu (who cant qualify due to ongoing injury through the year)

Luke, Julian , Emile and Beth are still in this week and have a chance of adding to their records above. Hannah and Mimi also if the juniors BJK Cup team do the business .

Its difficult to imagine any player winning more than 1 title on average per week in the last 3 or 4 weeks left - so this is the list of realistic challengers to Alfies top spot - and to be honest , many of these are a stretch !

Alfie Hewett 8

Maia Lumsden 6
Mingge Xu 6

Benjamin Gusic Wan 5
Brooke Black 5
Charlie Robertson 5
(Gordon Reid 5 - listed but season over)
Hannah Klugman 5
Hannah Read 5
Johannus Monday 5
Luke Johnson 5
Marcus Willis 5
Mark Ceban 5

Emile Hudd 4
Julian Cash 4
Sarah Beth Grey 4

Those on 4 are listed as they are still playing for titles this week. The list cut off will rise to 5 titles after this weekend !

with 3 weeks left, these are the list of players within 3 titles or fewer to top spot. Beth has got herself into the list today - bring frank, its hard to see anyone winning 3 titles in 3 weeks at this stage of the season, but you never know.
Alfie must be odds on favourite now. but you never know and Alfie, of course, wont play anymore this season.

Hi - just wondering if anyone knows if any of the players in the list above are due to play this week coming ? Not many, Im guessing?

Beth withdrew from singles in Funchal yesterday and probably won't make the trip from Canada. No idea about any of the rest.

Ah, going to be hard to see Beth adding much to her title haul then!

As far as I can tell, Marcus Willis and JoMo are the only playerscon the list of title winners above playing this week, he is in doubles in Champaign.

Which realistically means that the list of those who can match Alfie's haul of 8 counting titles will be limited to Mimi, Hannah (who would both need to take two titles in weeks 47 and 48) and Marcus and Johannus (who would need to win this week and also win in weeks 47 and 48).

It feels as if that is highly unlikely but, nonetheless, we are down to a 4 horse race.

If Marcus or JoMo dont achieve 3 titles, each of Alfie and Hannah are already qualified for Player of the Season and Mimi is in the box seat as top girls ranked junior. So it looks like this route to qualifying for the PoS is not going to add any new names to our list of qualified players - unless Marcus or JoMo pulls an amazing three weeks out of the bag! (nb, they

may not even be playing all 3 weeks?!)
