I enjoyed my time in Auckland many years ago. It did rain though.

It's not so different to Scotland weather wise. A bit more hot and humid. With earthquakes and active volcanoes

I went up to Whangarei for a few days. The countryside in between was so Scottish.

Where I live just now is fields and cows - not so different to Aberdeenshire!

Not been to the Far North yet. Or the South Island. Maybe one day...

They managed half one match outdoors yesterday. Nightmare for the organisers and all matches now indoors. Prime is continuing coverage but no spectators (so far). Emmas match is next on - after Gauff v Kenin which is in its 2nd set.

Gauff won so Emma will be on soon.

great for points at the beginning for the season, but this really isn't ideal prep for Melbourne. From air-con indoor courts to 38 degrees+ in Melbourne is a big adjustment...

Emma wins the first 6-0 in 23 minutes.

several of the United Cup matches are in indoor venues as well, forget which locations, and the Hopman Cup in Perth was always indoor.

Missing break points in 3 return games in set 2, looks like she'll be going through for wasting chances.

6-0 *3-5

Emma levelled but was broken again. Loses the set and to the surprise of noone the physio is on.

6-0 5-7 *0-0

All a very familiar pattern. Should have had this match absolutely buried ages ago.

But shed slipped and rolled her ankle a few games back. Really bad luck.
