Well, my vote went to Harriet, even though I could see already that it was a forlorn hope that she would get through to the final, because the current status of the vote is visible for those not logged in to the board. By voting, I see the only change to the vote count is the vote I just made. So for me, it's a pointless exercise. The voting looks distinctly tactical (to me anyhow), and that maybe made possible by being able to see the vote tally before voting.

Hi Baz - thats a shame and I dont think it is - Im not sure theres any evidence its tactical ? For what purpose and how? Thanks for voting though ! Please
Im not sure anyone has tried to keep Harriet out either, she just hasnt had the record of many others as reflected in her vote, good year though she has had, others have had very good years!

Im not sure it is tactical so much as after 33 votes, the shape of the group has formed and some players built a distinct lead. But you the first round groups received around 46 votes each so there are 13 maybe out there and you never know which way they will go, however unlikely a comeback is. I hope everyone keeps voting!
for my part, I wont disclose the vote details again until tonight when there is less time left

I voted Harriet too. Think her year as been underestimated, she had a break through this year and some fabulous wins against top players.

Definitely and the bio I wrote doesnt reflect the detail, hence why I ask for people to add narrative - sadly seldom happens! - to promote their pick! She of course played brilliantly in the BJK Cup and deserves lots of credit for that!

A 34th vote comes in - we are close to half way now in this vote and third place has closed right up on the top 2. Could get interesting now! A day left folks !
