Caught between not voting at all or voting for someone I think has done really well this season. In all honesty, I don't follow doubles, juniors or wheelchair so can't assess those achievements. Both Ryan and Sonay have impressed me this season. Ultimately voted for Sonay.
If you'd been running this poll in the summer I would have voted Sonay without even thinking about it. However, after an amazing first 6 months I have been slightly disappointed that she hasn't pushed on further and instead has only played sparingly (270 points from Jan to June, but only 39 points since July). So although I considered both Sonay and Hannah, I actually voted for Joe. Retaining his US Open title and going on to win the Tour Finals makes him stand out from the crowd.
I voted for Ryan for his great performances of the early summer. Also I'm not that keen on the doubles, though GB players are doing well in it, after many years of being clueless.
half way point in terms of time - 35 votes reached. Which is very promising. Hopefully another day will see us up and over the 40 mark. Last season , this round of voting got around 38 on average, so looks promising.
Full scores on doors at half way:
Joe 11 (remembering one is taken off his score due to system error!!)
So, Andy Lapthorne and Emma Raducanu have zero votes so far. As a reminder of what they have achieved:
Andy is British #1 Quads and Quads WR 6; he won 15-10 this season, or 60%; Importantly he won the ITF Series 1 British Open Quads and a doubles grand slam in the Australian Open Quads Doubles
Emma is British #1 womens singles player and won 47% of her matches at top tour level, ranked as one of only two women in the top 100 from GB
