Theres definitely a steady fall in visitors but hopefully 500 or so visitors to the forum will include most of our regulars and keep the votes at normal levels for player of the season - would be a shame if it all fell off and sort of undrmined the numbers

Slowly up to 18 votes. Still over a day left but weve moved up to a tie in second between Eliz and Anna. If youre a supporter of either of those two or indeed anyone else , plenty of time for your vote to make a difference

Little bit of crazy activity - lead swapping between the top 3 as we reach 23 votes now. Last year we had 32 votes so if we can reach that level , this really could go anywhere.

I nominated Anna and have voted for her for the same reasons I stated then. I'm quite chuffed that others in this board seem to agree. I know Lloyd has had a remarkably successful year, but like CD I've never taken to him, so whilst I recognise his achievements I can't bring myself to vote for him. I'm really pleased for Jon that this is such a close contest which we'll all be following with interest over the next 24 hours.

Thanks SuperT! And remember this is just the hors douevre- it gives the winners a ticket to the main course happening all next week!

This might be close but theres 26 players waiting to take on the two that get through !

A three way tie on 8 each with 25 votes placed. I dont really want a three way tie at the end though ! It will cause mayhem - the person who voted for Ben Bartram might end up as King or Queen Maker !

Up to 27 votes now and still decent time left tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing how this develops. I realise 8 pm is slap in the middle of the England match but it should be half time given the time
