So, player of the season starts here. 26 players listed below have already qualified for the vote in a week or so's time. Which means we have TWO spaces left in the PoS field and they will come from a wild card vote.
To get to the wild card vote, we need wild cards to be nominated and that is where you all come in.
I can include up to 20 players in a voting poll and so we want up to 20 nominations. Over the next few days, until Friday 2nd December 8 pm (or until 20 nominations are listed, whichever is sooner) then I would ask that you make your nominations here. There are a few basic rules:
1. Any player can be listed for a WC nomination for whatever reason - as with real tournament wildcards, there need be no specific reason other than you think they are deserving
2. Make your nomination is with our usual PoM nominations - just add them to the list below by cutting the current list, pasting it in a new post and adding your player.
3. If you nominate, please give a reason. As per 1 above, no type of reason is needed, but also do please say why you are nominating them to help people in the vote in a week or so.
4. Each board member is allowed a maximum of 2 nominations, no more. You can do just 1. But the list will stop at 20 and you cant do more than 2, strictly 2!!
5. The nominations will stop regardless on Sunday evening, 4th December at 10 pm. At that point, I will finalise the list.
6. Finally, DON'T nominate anyone already qualified for player of the season - the 26 already in, rightly or wrongly, are listed below. They dont need a nomination and if you include them, I will take them out!!!
The players already in Player of the Season and NOT needing a wildcard are:
Hannah Klugman
Jack Draper
Sonay Kartal
Harriet Dart
Paul Jubb
Jay Clarke
Mingge Xu
Cam Norrie
Ryan Peniston
Jodie Burrage
Maia Lumsden
Alicia Barnett/Olivia Nicholls
Katie Swan
Joe Salisbury
Emily Appleton
Julian Cash/Henry Patten
Amelia Rajecki
Emma Raducanu
Neal Skupski
Will Jansen
Ella McDonald
Alfie Hewett
Lucy Shuker
Andy Lapthorne
Dan Evans
Katie Boulter
Anyone else not listed above can be nominated - as the list above got in via various means, I am sure you think there are players clearly more deserving to be up for Player of the Season - so this is your chance to name them, list them and get them onto the Player of the Season vote.
Happy nominating!!!

As examples of you might consider, Emmsie mentioed one of our top doubles players on another thread, why on earth isnt he in Player of season already, surely he deserves a WC nomination? CD mentioned two juniors topping our juniors in adult world rankings, surely they could be on here? One of our wheelchair juniors reached the senior Tour Finals doubles semis; our most venerable player did some great stuff this year; that womens team in Glasgow didnt get through PoM this month but maybe they are deserving??
etc etc etc.

Still up to 16 slots to allocate in this before Sunday - please feel free to add up to two names to the bottom of the list. No point in not filling it and I am sure there are deserving names who arent currently in Player of the Season.
