Charlie Robertson v Conor Brady
Kyle McKay v Henry
Special shout out to Conor, who's only 15, and the youngest in the QFs, not to mention the SFs.
This is also his best result to date.
Charlie continues to show fine form, though
(Charlie is the Scottish lad (from Forfar - where that?) whose parents sold their business, to try and support his tennis, because the LTA were not at all forthcoming, seemingly)
Little fave, Dani P, who beat Lucia Cassidy very easily in R1, carries on very smoothly.
Hannah Read who - as mentioned before - was SO promising as a U12/U14 and then - don't know why (injury? life?whatever....) - seemed to go onto the back burner for a while is cruising too
Erin Pearce whose name has come up recently as a real propsect is doing very well too
As is Hannah Rylatt
A shout-out indeed to Stirling Academy - since Noelle Van Lottum has joined, I'm sure the results there are just getting better and better...
Daniela Piani (2007) v Hannah Rylatt (2006)
Erin Pearce (2006) v Hannah Read (2006)
Got my prediction for the girls well wrong - but thrilled for little fave Dani
Hannah won the first and looks like she had her chances in the second, it was very close, but Dani snuck the second, and cruised the third (no idea how it 'went down' but it wouldn't be the first time that Hannah collasped when she had things in hand)
