TCU claimed the doubles point with wins for Jake on 1 and Jack on 2. Jake finishes unbeaten in his partnership with Vives that was put together following TCU's injury problems.
Lui Maxted was the first to finish in straight sets win on 4 over PY Bailly 2 & 4. Texas got the next two singles to level at 2-2.
Jake lost his singles 6-4 3-6 1-6. The point by point suggests it was closer than the set scores imply.
Texas lead 3-2. TCU need to win the last 2 singles matches. Jack on 1, was a set and a break down and it wasn't looking good against the nationally ranked No 2. But Jack turned it around and won 2-6 6-4 6-2 to get his biggest win by ranking on the season, and probably the biggest win of his college career. He his now unbeaten at the 1 position since end of March (10 wins, 3 unfinished).
It comes down to court 5 where Seb Gorzny coming back from a stress facture on his foot is in a third set decider against Jonah Braswell. TCU goes a break ahead, Texas get the break back, but TCU goes ahead again and Seb clinches it with an ace to give TCU their first ever Team National Championships.
And Texas A&M clinched the womens title 4-1 over Georgia for their first ever NCAA title. They had looked the strongest team throughout the tournament and as Lambda has pointed out the return of Branstine to the line up made the whole team stronger as the other players from position 2 downwards all moved down a spot to accommodate her. Once Georgia lost the doubles point there was never really any doubt about the outcome.
