Where's Jamie?

According to steve g tennis Jamie is playing with Alun Jones in America again. Does anyone know if he did come back to play Edinburgh?

I'm puzzled on several accounts...

I found out from Colin this morning that he's not playing doubles with Jamie this week. However, Jamie is supposed to be attending a party in Edinburgh this Friday night and so I thought he was heading back home for that

If Jamie was going to head to Tunica resorts for the challenger, why didn't he sign in for the singles qualifying

Instead he's resuming his successful partnership with Alun Jones and in rd1 doubles they face Diego Hartfield [Arg] and Mirko Pehar [USA]. They could play the 4th seeds, Americans Eric Butorac and David Martin in rd1.

Alun and Jamie will be favourites for the rd1 match, they are higher ranked than their opponents.

Jones and Murray got off to a good start this week, winning 6-1, 6-4.

Tunica is a £50000 and Atlanta was £25000. Does that mean double the points as well or is it just the prize money?

In other words has this performance already matched last weeks in terms of points?

The lowest level of Challenger is a 25K+H [Atlanta] or a 50K [Tunica].

A 25K+H and a 50K Challenger offer the same amount of points, the only difference is that in a 50K Challenger the amount of prize money is greater so Jamie will be looking to do well here to boost his bank balance.

The [+H] for a 25K+H Challenger indicates that hospitality is provided, ie: airport pickups, hotel costs are paid for [I think] and there's a courtesy car to take you from hotel to tournament.

QF doubles: E Butorac/D Martin [USA][4] bt A Jones/J Murray 7-6[5], 6-2

Butorac and Martin were tough opponents, both ranked inside the top 150.
