Make amends for last week by winning every deuce point at least. I was a little concerned when Veronica pegged Em with a serve in the third game but no damage done!

Woke her up I think - she was pretty lively for the rest of the match !

A very nice set from the Spanish duo. The girls did have an opportunity at 3-3* deuce but a couple of phenomenal angles saved the break point beautifully and the youngsters cranked up a gear.

3-6 *0-0

You say youngsters - they are both 20. Veronika is 22 and ........... Emily has had a doubles ranking for 21 years

A comfortable win in the end for the quickly rising young Spaniards, who have had a good bit of success together this year already. Can't have any complaints, their opponents played a very nice match.

Emily A in the early stages of her match.

I think 20 is much younger in women's tennis terms these days than it was say 10 years ago. Both have moved up quite quickly to in and around the top 200 singles in the past 18 months. Watched snippets of their singles earlier as well, good players.

Close but no cigar for Em A and Isabelle. They served for the match at *5-4 and led *7-6 in the MTB, but go out 2-6 7-5 10-8
