There are 4 weeks of high grade tournaments in Mexico/USA to end the ITF Junior season, with strong British presence and good first round draws on paper

Slightly curious that Talia has allowed herself to get in a position where she has to play low adult ITFs, rather than push on in juniors. Obviously a strategic decision taken a while back.

But, overall, yes, what an exciting line-up

Better news with the girls: Ella is through in straight sets, Mimi goes through in three sets, Isabelle on a walkover but Hep goes out in three sets to Victoria Osuigwe. She's the sister of Whitney Osuigwe who reached JWR 2. She herself is still lower ranked than Hep but has beaten a JWR top ten player and several other top hundred players at only 15, so not necessarily a bad result. Isabelle plays the girl who knocked out the number two seed in the next round. Could be an opportunity for her, in a J1 tournament.

Ella takes on a 15 year old who has been highly successful in lower grade tournaments in her native Chile. Victoria Osuigwe has teamed up with Imogen in doubles. All British pairings won their first round matches in doubles

In combination Ella and Mimi have also reached the doubles quarter-finals where they take on Imogen and Victoria. Other British partnerships lost in round 2. In the singles quarter-finals Mimi plays the Serbian who some of us saw lose comfortably to Ella in the J1 final in Durban

 All the players here move on to Merida for the Grade A. Most, but not all move to the US for the extra 2 weeks, with a couple joining probably for the US tournaments (unless they withdraw)
