Hi guys, haven't been on this site for ages but it looks great as ever. Have changed my username from "AndyMurray."
Had a really great week here in Syros, produced some great tennis throughout. Last couple of months have been really tough with so many points to defend but I feel I'm getting back to my best. Haven't got many points to defend for the rest of the year apart from in ATP Nottingham so hopefully I can get back into the top 300 during the grass court season.
Playing doubles with Baker was good - feel that we should have won our semi though, the pair we played weren't ranked particularly highly - we didn't play as well as we'd done in our first two matches. Goodall and Irwin played a great match to win the final so congrats to them.
Am off to Kalamata now for Greece F3, should be seeded in the top 4 for that.
Nice to know that there's lots of fans following our progress. Cerretani is a hard hitter but he was uncomfortable against my attacking game and I kept him under pressure by rushing the net and it paid off with breaks in both sets. Have returned well throughout this week which has been the key, especially against Goodall who has a monster serve.

Lol, the booze in Syros is excellent.
One thing which some tennis fans forget: the dosh for winning a 10K futures looks great at first but you don't actually end up with anything like that amount. The bastards at the Inland Revenue take several thousand off your winnings. They should all be shot at dawn
It's a sore point for all tennis pros, in 2005 Elena Baltacha won about 19,000 for reaching rd3 of the Aussie Open but after tax had been taken off she only got about 7,000. It's just not fair !!

Well done Jonny, great to see you back to winning ways - I think it's impressive that you've managed to motivate yourself so well again after what must have been a terrible few weeks with all those points coming off.
I bet you're glad you didn't stay at home and play the clay court Futures! - the results there have been woeful.
Just one request, when you've finished shooting the taxman, can you give the Greek organisers a bit of a kicking to get the results posted a bit faster?! It was ridiculously slow this week for those of us following the progress of you, Jamie, Josh et al and there were no results posted on Thursday at all. (or was Thursday rained off?)
Anyway, best of luck to all six of you for Kalamata - a second consecutive GB singles win and third consecutive GB doubles win would be quite something!

I've just realised that I forgot to congratulate Jonny for winning this tournament. It really was a superb effort which will move him back into the top 450. Was gutted that Baker lost, however all his matches with Durek have been really, really close and Jamie didn't take his chances this time round. He had the chances to wrap it up in straight sets. However, Jamie is now back into the top 300 where he belongs [this will be when the rankings are updated on May 22nd].
Photos of the victory ceremony [I notice that abroad the winners of futures and satellites get presented with really nice trophies and there's a victory ceremony. This doesn't happen in Britain as the tournaments are a bit stingy so they don't splash out on trophies. All you get is your winner's cheque]:
