Looking good for the remaining three Brits though. All the seeds in the bottom half have been knocked out now. Especially with Luke Bourgeois (296) going out.
Preview of Baker-Durek: Jamie faces Australia's Raphael Durek for the 3rd time this year. Both the previous meetings have been outdoor hard courts and both times Jamie has gone on to reach the final of the tournament. The first match was in rd1 of Australia F2, Jamie won 7-5, 7-5 and the 2nd match was in the quarters of New Zealand F2 and Jamie won 3-6, 6-4, 7-5. Durek is ranked 443 with a career high of 400 which was reached in September 2004. He's yet to drop a set in this tournament and in rd2 he comprehensively beat Britain's Neil Bamford 6-4, 6-2. In Greece F1, he reached the quarters before losing to Britain's Josh Goodall 6-2, 6-4. Durek has a very interesting background, being born in Brazil before his parents [who are both professional musicians] moved to Sydney when he was 2. Durek reached a high of no 28 on the junior circuit.
Goodall-Marray: The current head-to-head is 1-1. Josh won 6-4, 7-6 in GB F13 in 2003 but Jonny evened things in 2005 winning 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 in the quarters of GB F5. It's an interesting clash of styles - the big-hitting baseliner Goodall versus the flair of Marray attacking the net at every opportunity.
I can`t find any info on MTF and the ATP hasn`t updated either. I asked on MTF but no-one has replied. Does anyone know what the weather is like (maybe rain delay?)?

For the third time this year, Jamie Baker had a very tight match with Australia's Raphael Durek, but despite taking the first set, this time he lost to Durek for the first time, 4-6 7-6(4) 7-5. It's not been a good week for the Scots, has it.
However, Durek didn't beat all the Brits and reach the Final, Jonny Marray got there instead, beating Josh Goodall in the QFs and Durek in the semis to get there without losing a set.
He will play American James Cerretani, who despite being ranked in the 800s has also reached the Final without losing a set, including a 2 & 2 thrashing of no. 2 seed Luke Bourgeois.
Sad that Jamie didn't get enough points to make a significant move back towards an automatic Wimbledon WC spot, but nice to see Jonny coming back to form after the alarming rankings slide so far this year.

Thanks for that Steven, where on earth did you find it all out?
I'm sorry for Jamie, hope he can find his good form again and get back into the wildcard rankings. Good for Jonny though, let's hope he can go on and win the thing
