Columbia, J5:

Mega congrats to Gabi Rawles (2007) who takes the title, beating the top seed, 6-3 6-1

That's one step better than her runners-up place last week.

And her first title.

Will be a big jump in the rankings too

The Tennis Europe Masters events for the top 8 under14s and under 16s took place this week. No British interest (Mika S was 4 places out of the U14 girls) but 2 players mentioned in dispatches across the year won the girls' events. Hannah's 2009 rival Ksenia Efremova picked up the U14 title, aided by the absence of the TE1 Alena Kovackova (who some will remember beating Hannah in the European Championships). Alena had also qualified for the under 16s (she had an astonishing 45-1 record in singles in 2022 in Tennis Europe U14/U16 events), and she duly took that title. The boys winners were Nicolai Budkov Kjaer (Norway U16) and Diego Dedura-Palomero (Germany U14)
