Imogen's opponent continued her modest series of results. Imogen comes up against a stronger player next, though Zara Larke was pushed to a 10-8 final set tiebreak today (albeit by a player who won her last Grade 5 event). There was also success today in doubles with a Thai partner.

Most definitely.
She is only ranked 274 and fo7nd some good opportunities in recent weeks in her tour of Asia.
Lowest conters are 18 singles and 25 doubles, so her ranking may well increase again.
Hopefully the doubles retirement was precautionary - both Imogen and partner are in the quarters. Imogen and her next opponent are the only ones to reach that stage who are not top 8 seeds. The Israeli has won a lot of matches this year, but in relatively weak events.

It's Imogen and 3 seeded Aussies in the semis. She plays Lily Taylor whose record is the most impressive, given the opposition, of the players she has tackled here (her last junior event was a G1 semi while she reached the quarters of her last $15K event).
