Week 42 - ITF W60 - Glasgow, Great Britain Hard

Katie lost in 3.
Couldn't keep the error count down against a big hitting player.

Disappointing from Katie really. Should be winning these tournaments to get back towards the top 100.

What a great haul! I know we had the top 4 seeds, but to have 3 actually make it to the semis is fantastic

Seems unlucky for Julie but well done to Lily - she needed a good run and nice to have one on home soil

Fortunate to have two injured opponents in a row but a win is a win.

Heather was struggling in the early rounds but now looks like she could go all the way.

Lovely win for Heather. She's such a joy to watch when she's playing like this.

Miyazaki, yes fortunate to a degree, however she was playing very well in those two matches, with lots of urgency and variety in her game, and making it tough for her opponents, and perhaps that's why the injuries came. Miyazaki brings a different style of play, she takes the ball early and is all over the court, forcing her opponents to defend for dear life. Swan managed to fight back against her in the 1st set R2 match, but it wasn't easy that's for sure.

Now I see she's also won again, over Burrage. She could go all the way.

Jodie was diabolical. Heather was very good. Nice to see Lily getting some good points on board too.
