Lily off to a not-so-flying start against Julie Belgraver

She's 2-4 down

Julie is 20, was about WR 50 as a junior, and has been doing OK to get up to the mid-500s in adults, but hardly soaring

And to note, Julie lost against Jasmine Conway. Mandy Carreras and Andre Lukosiute earlier this year, to name a few

Lily also beat her earlier this year in Macon - but only by 6-4 in the third

Seems unlucky for Julie but well done to Lily - she needed a good run and nice to have one on home soil

Wow Heather wins 6-1 6-1. Bits I saw she was totally dominant.

I watched a bit of Heather's match too. Thought she played really well. Hope she can keep it up for a couple more rounds.

First set Jodie 6-3. Saw Kerkhove beat Kartal at Wimbledon and she is a very nice player.

Heather is such a confidence player. She may well win the whole tournament now.

Jodie up a set.

The way it's going we could have four Brits in the SF.

Gosh when Jodie is on it she really does make it looks so easy. Just doesn't happen enough!

Great performance and a very nice win, 6-3 6-1.

The top seed lost and the 2nd seed is struggling.

I only watched that early part of the match, and was impressed both by tennis, and the quickness of Belgraver. It's a pity she had to retire from the match.
