This week has to be about getting some wins and confidence, although it doesn't sound great so far !

Heather has to reach the SF to actually gain any ranking points this week as her lowest counter is currently 13. Potential second round match against Talia could be interesting.

I watched the first set of Emily App's match - very close but, again, Emily desereved it - just the slightly more entrepreneurial player, served pretty well, kept to her gameplan even when some volley points went south, huge stroke of luck on set point but hey.....

Pleased for her

Anna got off to a flier winning the first three games but then Lily stepped up winning the next five. Anna saved three set points at 4-5* and then broke to level at 5-5. Lily breaks again and holds to take the first set 7-5.

Anna went one better in the 2nd set, taking the first 4 games. Lily took one break back but Anna went on to take the set with an ace 6-3.

Thats a shame for Anna I thought she would take that there. I didnt manage to make it today but am planning on heading in tomorrow for a bit before I head to Aberdeen at 3pm to watch Glasgow finest football team make it to Hampden

saw the Ella match she played better second set had break points for 5-3:in second set loads of tight games , The Bosnian had heavier firepower but got to say Ella has a lovely powerful backhand. Don't know who her coach is ? definitely English told her to be more aggressive.  Jeremy B there watching as well he said Nothing !
