That takes Jodie ahead of Heather and Katie B to GB #3

Impressive performance from Jodie despite an ugly game to get broken in the 2nd set. Just needs to focus on her first groundstroke after her serve; a few too many careless errors.

Who is this idiot commentating on the Dart match . She seems incapable of pronouncing Martincovas name and it keeps changing from that to another version where she says Martincikova.

In terms of the match Dart is now falling to pieces and her opponent looks like shes hobbling but still manages to get around the court .

Yes, it's a good point, but not sure it's really careless - it's a common problem for players with a strong serve (especially those who don't have naturally brilliant footwork) - they need time to 'recover' from the serve and the bigger the serve, the more time they need to recover. So Jodie serves big and then her feet are all over the place, she doesn't do her little 'bounce' to set herself coz she doesn't have time, and so her next shot may well be a fault. Some players work on shortening the recovery period, some just work on strenghening the serve. And it's no point really saying work on both because of course she will but her coach has probably decided what the overall strategy should be.

Jeez Harriet. Played really well to 6-0 *4-3 and then was an absolute shambles.

Delighted for Jodie.

Yes, her pronunciation was really annoying me too.

Real shame Harriet   could't keep her initial standard going.

Didn't Emma get the better of 'that arm' a few months back ?

Emma beat her in Madrid and in the BJK cup in Prague

Edit WTA site playing up as usual and even giving some scores the wrong way round

L16:- Alena Fomina-Klotz (***) / Ingid Gamarra Martins (BRA) CR357 (172+185) def Alicia Barnett (GBR) / Olivia Nicholls (GBR) CR141 (69+72) [3] 2-6 6-2 10-6  cry

A decent first set - and then it went downhill and the other pair could have been the seeds. Put it down to a bad day at the office and move on.

Yeah, wasn't great. Could have done far more off Fomina's serve which is very slow. Interesting (to me anyway) that Ingrid played on the ad-side, she played deuce with Em.

Jodie has found her way into the doubles. Pity about the draw though.

L16:- Andreja Klepac (SLO)/ Laura Siegemund (GER) CR72 (29+43) [1] v Nigina Abduraimova (UZB) / Jodie Burrage (GBR) CR814 (393+421)

And the winners will play Harriet and Alexandra, who have just finished their match

L16:- Harriet Dart (GBR) / Alexandra Panova (***) CR188 (125+63) def Angelina Gabueva (***) / Anastasia Zakharova (***) CR203 (101+102) 6-1 6-4
