Week 34 - ITF W25 - Roehampton, Great Britain Hard

Naiktha and Maia won the Battle of the Brits to reach the semi-final in the doubles. Waiting for the other matches to finish now to see who they play.

Angies run ended with a 6-4 7-5 loss to the Czech girl who won French Open juniors last year. But a good week for her with 3 wins against Maia, Andre and Raina o she can take positives from that.

Marni dropped the first set, but has just won the second, so into a decider.

Great job, Marni

Bhosale didn't look that amazing yesterday - it was always a posible match for the taking - but to win the third set that convincingly is brilliant

I know nothing about her, but Marni looks to be doing well.

There's a player thread about her - not a huge amount of detail but some

For the old school, she lost by a whisker to Emma, age 13, at Liverpool I think it was, and several of us have been watching her ever since

Good to see that this girl is back competing as she is definitely one to watch. It seems like shes injury free so fingers crossed that she can kick on.

Yes, wins her QF 2-6 6-4 6-2 and it's another good tournament for Marni. That's SF, QF and SF so far in her last 3 tournaments, the W25s at Nottingham, Aldershot and here during the last 5 weeks, for 46 of what will now be up to 49 ranking points in total for her.

If she stays fit and motivated, I'd go out on a bit of a limb and say at least a future top 200 player. Be interesting to continue following her progress anyway.

It is obvious if she stays fit, she will break into the top 500 comfortably. How high is anybodies guess, but top 400 by Wimbledon next year.
