So pleased for them, obviously Emma, Cam and lately Jack Draper have attracted most attention but Lissey and Liv have gone from strength to strength since lockdown and really ought to be given serious consideration by Annie K for Glasgow.

Looks like the trip was worth it even if they don't make the US Open (how far out are they currently?)

According to an unofficial list on tennisforum they are 8th alternates. Draw is due out today though.

At least it's indeed still been a very worthwhile trip, taking full advantage of a relatively weak pre US Ooen WTA 250 and emerging triumphant.

And greatly increasing their chances of getting into the Aussie Open.

As far as I can tell, this is the only WTA doubles title won by GB women in the last ten years - apart from three by Heather.

The new rankings are now out and Lissey is confirmed at 68 and Liv at 72. A CR of 140 would have got them into the USO with space to spare, so hopefully they can maintain their rankings and head for Melbourne !

 They both show as International tournaments on Wiki rather than WTA250, which is probably why I missed them.
