It was 5-5 in the 2nd set the last I saw but then I had to go away for a few minutes and they were no longer on court. I guess we'll find out when they finally post the results (and tomorrow's OoP) at the end of today's play.

There are thunderstorms in PA today so I suspect it was first suspended for heat and then for rain; maybe they will resume tomorrow?

There seems to be a LL spot in the main draw, is this filled by lottery or ranking. Eden in 3rd seed but both 1st and 2nd seeds are struggling in their unfinished matches.

I believe that the LL are drawn from all ranked players that lose in the FQR - unlike the WTA events where the LL is drawn from the two highest ranked players.

Eden isn't entered for anything the next two weeks; I understand the desire to test out your higher ranking at big tournaments but it does feel like the UK 25ks this summer would have set her up much better for breaking into the top 250.

Lily broke back only to be broken again.

6-3 3-6 4-5*

Jodie *3-5 first set. Very even.

Jodie broke back, had a set point at 6-5*, and now 2-4* down in the tiebreak.

Lily lost 7-5 in the third. Broke back but was broken to love and Abduraimova served it out second time round.

Jodie loses the tiebreak 7-2. Shame she couldn't steal the set when she had the chance but I didn't see the set point so may well have been out of her hands.
