 Well done to both

Denzell Darkey is the son of Gunther Darkey, an ex-pro player from Ghana, who I think made the top-500 in singles - played Queens qualifying several times, and quite a bit in the UK, and in various African countries, as well as Davis Cup

Only for the diehard enthusiasts but:

While all the best non-Russian (and Belorussian) U14s were playing in the team championships this week (see other threads), the best Russians of the same age had to make do with an individual event - the Young Champions Cup, as part of the Tennis Europe calendar

For those who follow Hannah Klugman and players of that age, it was interesting.

Ksenia Eframova (2009) is the HUGELY hyped little blonde girl (with mother!) at Mourataglou's academy, and under the wing of IMG, with LOTS of media attention and sponsorships and Instagram followers......

People might remember the coverage about her, and Hannah, at Les Petits As

For what it's worth (not a lot!!!), I don't rate her that highly - she is 'fully priced', I would say.

And also pretty small for her age, at the moment (although that might change obviously, she's only 13)

But her name is going to be around for a good while

Anyway, she made the final but ended up losing reasonably easily to another 2009-born Russian girl, Anna Pushkareva

Well worth belatedly recording that Oliver went on to win the week 31 doubles title with his Danish partner.

( been doing a trawl for my titles catch-up )
