Disappointing. Needs to be winning ones like these if she's going to stay in the top 100.

Just one match against a not much lower ranked player at the start of her late summer North American hard court campaign. I'd rather look at how Harriet emerges at the end of the of that campaign.

 Im going to predict that by the end of the US Open thats Harriet will be our number 1 ranked female player. Think Emma will struggle to get past the 2nd or 3rd round. We shall see.

Much as I think Harriet deserves more of a break at times ( we previously had some folk quick to suggest that she might only ever have that initial one week in the top 100 ), I do think the GB #1 after this year's US Open will be Emma.

 Suprised Emma even entered the doubles. I don't think she has played any more than a handful of match at junior or senior level.

 Correct, as my earlier post. Last matche listed on the ITF website is a Junior WImbledon first round loss in 2017
