I'm really hoping Harriet gets herself a doubles partner for Cinncy aswell. I love that she always aims to get into the highest level of competition she can but her run is likely to be short without a good draw and doubles will give her atleast one more match
Wouldnt Jack need to reach the Canadian semis to get an SE for Cinci - so some work to do at this stage, still.
As I understand it Jon, a player needs to have entered a tournament to qualify for receiving a SE
Oh, is that right? Hadnt realised that!
I dont tend to follow the nuances of these rules, partly because Im never actually sure what the point of a rule like that would be! For me, an SE should reward someone who does well the week before and it almost acts like a wild card with that reserved purpose in mind, without reference to whether they entered or not! But Im sure you and Emmsie are both correct on the rules!

If a tournament wants to reward a player with a WC after some recent success or whatever they can. Makes sense to me that a SE should cover an entered player that is then unable or at least inconvenienced re playing qualies because of their latter involvement the previous week. If you chose not to enter then well you're just not entered
