It is nice to see Katy Dunne playing again.

Players that were on the Q list and may have got MD WCs:-

Anna Brogan - withdrawn

Freya Christie

Eliz Maloney

Talia Neilson Gatenby

I assume Kristina Paskauskas had a WC due to being a late entry.

Will be curious to see how Grace Piper's getting on

She beat Sonay a couple of years ago, in a third-set TB that - tbh - Sonay had wrapped up but Grace was amazingly tenacious and difficult to beat

Millie Rajecki's tennis was also developing well when she left - neither her nor Grace were the sort who should have gone pro - college was a very good choice but they were definitely two of our better girls who went to college, with good qualities, both of them (not sure I'd put Morgan Cross in the same group)

But nice to see them all here - and Katy D, of course

I guess Alicia Dudeney will have the other WC, which is reserved for a UK/US Uni player with a UTR of 10.5 or higher.

Millie Rajecki is playing one of the many excellent top juniors who has not managed to make any real mark in the pro tour

Sato (JPN) was JWR 7.

But now - age 21 - she has still not cracked the top-500 yet in adults - just playing 25k and 15ks.

On the other hand, Chloe Noel (FRA) is very similar to Jasmine Conway - still a junior (born 2004) with no real interest in junior tennis but doing nicely in the WTA rankings (and also not really part of the main federation group)

Kimme Hance might possibly be a problem for Maia - be interesting to see where Maia's at after last loss to Indy Spink

And good luck, Katy

Live stream available on Courts 1 & 2, so 9 Brits should be watchable in the 8 matches there, including Katy.

 Yes, not bad matches...

Have got Lauryn's match on in the background at the moment

No real interest in Kristina's - that should be all one way to the French girl

Holly's one doesn't really appeal either although maybe if it gets close towards the ends of the sets

Kristina P lost 2-6 2-6, which was no surprise

Holly H also lost, but in the MTB, so well done to her for making it competitive

As expected, the most interesting match by far is Lauryn's - she's just managed to take the first set, 7-6 (7)

Very, very close and an interesting mix up of tennis styles and tactics

Not on livestream but brilliant to see that Grace is really kicking up a storm at the moment, taking the first set against the French girl, 6-0

Angelina Blake is currently 4-1 up over the 3rd seed - and looking very competent - taking the ball on

Millie Rajecki is holding her own nicely too (although again, no livestream)

Lauryn lost the second set, not unexpectedly

Lauryn had three match points at 9-6 in the 3rd set tie break and then lost 5 points in a row.

Lauryn had three match points, at 9-6 in the MTB

The first two, it's difficult to criticise her too much, she was a little too defensive, but then, that's her game, especially when under stress

The third one was a really nasty double fault.

Then an error out of frustration

And then a loose error as though she knew where this was all ending up

Her technique and manner of closing out a match was just awful

Brilliant - lovely win for Millie

The two girls I wanted to see have both won - so, now, organisers, put that match on a streamed court, please !
