How does 14 year old unranked Brooke Black gets direct entry whilst 24 year old Holly Hutchinson ranked 1407 needs a wc ?

 Because Holly was automatically withdrawn (according to the acceptance list) because she was on the list in Tunisia 

So she needed a wildcard to get back in 

(Brooke has an ITF ranking so she's higher than some of the others)

And a mega win for Jizel over the top seed

Which is something I didn't see coming at all - saw Jizel at Paddington and she was having a torrid time, barely getting a ball over and got beaten by Wong very easily

Didn't see this match so no idea about how her opponent was playing but it's a super result and huge congrats to her
