Wow Ranah takes advantage of a nervy Zavatska, saves 2 MPs and breaks to level things up.

Stoiber 3-6 7-6(5) *5-5 Zavatska

Argh a poor game to go down *0-40, saves two but misses on the third.

5-6*

Another match point saved but oh that deuce point - so tight from both and Ranah stabs the slice into the net.

Not to be.

They didn't get the wins but I am SO proud of our young girls today. The way they handled the occasion, applied themselves, fought, tried to play and impose their games on experienced opposition. So much to learn from and leave with their heads high, absolutely worth putting them out there.

Did not have Beth down as our last one standing!!

Impressive from the youngsters. Especially Ranah. Can't wait to follow her journey.

 Absolutely.

A really good effort from all of them, with special credit to Ranah and Ella.

So much enjoyment from watching them.

And, to be honest, they don't need the money, and there's no points, so all that matters is that they did well, feel pleased with themselves, got positives from it.....and gave us some entertainment :)

So my 5 outside 6 didn't materialise but the matches were competitive and everyone looked like they belonged at this level

Sorry to say my guess of 1 proved correct - sounds like I am gloating, I am not - but it was good to see a lot getting close

Landmark for Beth

Ben Rothenberg

Grey-Gadecki into a final set tiebreak here at #Wimbledon qualifying at Roehampton.

This is the first ever 10-point tiebreak at 6-6 in the third in #Wimbledon history.

Surprisingly, given the normal prevalence of tiebreaks in men's grass tennis, there were none yesterday.
