Harrison has very weird groundstrokes - scoop slice forehand most of the time and a very odd backhand grip.

Beth doing a good job of front running so far, and Eden finally has a break.

Beth needs to hold her nerve here. Fabulous backhand at 30-30 in her service game to get to within one game.

Eden surrenders the break straight back so on serve in second set again.

Gadecki breaks, and now a break from Beth will be required to win this avoiding another extended set. SBG 5-4*

 

ADD: Gadecki holds to 15. From Beth 4-1 up, the match is now levelled to 5-5 in the third!

Nailbiting moments in both matches now. Very good hold from Beth to force Gadecki to serve to stay in again.

A really great fight - against a very tough opponent and some nervy moments. But she deserved it - the better player won.
