Yeah I'm a bit surprised, thought she wouldn't play this week and maybe hang out in Eastbourne with Gaby Dabrowski. Possible given the Portugal/Brazil connection they've given Ingrid a wildcard as a late entry maybe? Sofia is here too.

How many tournaments are still played on carpet? Must be quite unusual these days. Wasn't there some concern about the number of injuries that occurred on the surface?

These are FQR matches. There are only 13 qualifying seeds, hence Andrea able to avoid a seed in her QR1. She's now got the q1 seed though.

Forecast after today is very ropey.

Emily has a bit of a mental walk about but finally takes the set 6-4.

Andra loses 6-1 6-0

 

It's windy and it's making the streaming camera wobble up down like you're on a boat doh
