That must be one of Katie's best wins.

It's her second win against a top 50 player, just behind (in ranking terms) her Wimbledon R1 win against Begu in 2018, and the sixth time she has beaten a top 100 player.

Great result for Katie but scared she'll break down again before Wimbledon.

Thought Katie was fab today. Sloane was all over the place but Katie stayed the course and played some good stuff. Our girls are really making the most of their opportunities and seeing good ranking rises (except for Heather and Emma!)

Katie and SLoane lost their doubles 7-5 6-3 today. Katie presumably back in singles tomorrow?

Sam and partner are a set up 7-5.

Just so no one thinks we've forgotten her, Katie Swan is playing some very good tennis here too - is 3-4* down - but very close - some super hitting - she's got some strapping right at the top of her left leg, but seems to be moving fine

Agree, very aggressive tennis from her - great to see.

Sorry Katie. Too many Brits on court at the same time, and can't watch more than three at once, so just the scoreboard for you  cry

20 winners to 11 UEs and still lost the set? That's impressive from both players. High quality match - Katie really giving a great show of what she can do.

Decent performance from Katie, some big serving and hitting very aggressively. Andreescu is a player I really want back at the top, the Bianca of 2019 would really spice up the women's tour and has potential for a great rivalry with Swiatek.

If Katie can just stay injury free and get a good run of tournaments she could really lift her ranking.
