19 points ( 13 MD + 6 Q ) so far for Ranah will not only give her a WTA ranking but is probably enough to just slip into the top 1000.

Thanks, indy  - I rely on you biggrin

Anna comes up short in 3 but absolutely did herself justice.

Mimi/Ranah Vs Naiktha/Maia coming onto centre now.

Woohoo Em and Ingrid through. Got a bit sticky from *3-2 to 3-5* but won the tiebreak and then the second 6-1. Would have been simpler if they hasn't lost the first 4 deuce points in the match!

The youngsters looking (a) comfortable and (b) far better than the more established Brits (who won a 25k together).

5-2*

And Sonay and Nell make a later surge, having lost the first set, and then being behind in the MTB, to take their dubs match 11-9 on the wire

They met in the Australian Open in 2020 with Simona winning 2 & 4

We've had some huge results from the Men, can Harriet do it for the Ladies (although Halep is a highly proficient grass court player, unlike the Men's opposition)

They did look good, probably the better pair, but I was pleased that Maia and Naiktha just snuck it - Ranah and Mimi both have their singles coming up - better to leave the dubs to others smile (and, yes, I know that Maia does too - but that's only one player as opposed to two, and she's older)

Yeah the kids had their chances to take that in 2. Very nip and tuck and a good crowd in late evening sunshine.
