Quick work by Jodie. All done and dusted in 54 mins.

Argh, my stream cut out on match point, but great that she came through. Glasgow W25 SF rematch tomorrow, and will definitely be prioritising that match over the WTA events.

Turning into a brilliant tournament, and may the best woman win (although I'd like it to be Jodie this time...)

Great semifinal from a British perspective, both have definitely earned their MDWCs from this full grass season. Think I'd prefer Jodie to win, as I feel she's been 'stuck' for some time. Would love to see her breakthrough finally!

Yeah, if someone said to me during that Lapko Surbiton match in 2019 when she had a lot of momentum, a full grass season ahead of her, and a very likely first ever Wimbledon MDWC, that 3 years later she still wouldn't have cracked the top 200 and still no WTA main draw wins, I'd have thought they were crazy. It's been a tough few years, but she's done both of those things in the past two weeks, and hopefully now she can finally push on and get herself nearer the that top 100, in time.

Arguably that wonderful win will pop her squarely within the top 200.

For all the criticism that's given to Jodie, it's a testament to the belief she has (and should have) in herself, and the talent that she possesess that she is finding a pathway through. Whatever ups and downs come, I hope the memory of these last few weeks and the vast improvements she has made will stick with her for the long term, and the occassional bad results are now blips. All the best - good luck in the semi

Great to see from both Sonay and Jodie.

I think I'd too like Jodie to win. She has the bigger game and hopefully this week will be great for her belief. And despite the stalling couple of years or so, she has still only very recently turned 23 yo.

Still very lacking in 3 setter wins though

I expect it will be much closer this time given Jodie's good form on grass.

Yeah, same. Sonay definitely had the momentum last time and I think many expected her to come through, which she duly did, whereas now I think it's pretty much 50/50.

Odds-wise, when they met at Glasgow, Jodie was an average 2.80 vs 1.38 Sonay, whereas the early odds are currently 2.16 (JB) vs 1.60 (SK), albeit just from one bookmaker, and they may change, either way, nearer the time, but it's closer from that perspective this time.

Nice win in the doubles by Maia and Naiktha over the second seeds

Very impressed. Really raised their level from the first two rounds which they were quite lucky to get through. A real shot at the title and one of those remaining doubles wildcards.

Jodie is very much a confidence player and I'd expect her to beat Sonay on grass.
