Yes, great to see. So much potential when Katie is 'on' and much bigger game than Heather and Harriet.

I just so wish for her to stay fit and harness that game much more consistently.

It's so frustrating following Katie knowing how good she can be but is so fragile physically she rarely gets to show it.

Katie served for the first set but two double faults and a very sloppy game and we're 6-6.

Tbf I've never seen Garcia hit the ball this hard this consistently.

Both first serves are crucial.

Big double from Garcia on set point. The first serve looked close to me but there doesn't seem to be any Hawkeye?

7-6(5) *0-0

Boulter got very lucky there

She did well to come through that tie-break - raced away to a lead and then saw it chipped away back again

Caro not happy with the first serve linecall on set point

Good game of tennis from both

Not a match featuring British players but the 2nd round features the first ever  singles meeting between Ostapenko and Yastremska. Could be a feisty meeting to say the least.

Not sure how much good all those contortions performed on Garcia by the physio will do - looked painful.

Must make a change for Katie to be sitting waiting while someone else has an MTO

Doubles - I forgot this was on the outside court, and looks like no-one else spotted it either

Great win for Katie.
However, without wishing to worry everyone, Jeremy Bates was ever-present through the match. I thought they had stopped working together back in the winter/spring when she won the W80 tournament in Grenoble (is that right?) so that might not be a good development!!

Although could just be a LTA support thing, I suppose (hope).

Harriet seems to be hitting her groundies particularly hard today? She's often doing well to create the space then overpressing and making an error. Understandably, to be fair.

3-6 *2-2
