Hoping the weather will be kind tomorrow as I would like to see Sonay play live for the first time. Will also see some of the other GB women depending on how the play pans out as well as the guys on Centre.
Will update if the phone holds out!

 Forecast looks OK

OK-ish.........

Depends if they're lucky or not - should be fine by later in the day

Practically all (if not all) the non-quali players in this first round are playing their first match on grass for the year. Many having come from Paris and the clay. They'll have practiced, of course, on grass but it's always quite a cr*p-shoot. Should be quite amusing....

Lily breaks in the first game

*1-0

The positioning of the microphone for the stream is so annoying lol. All you here is the crunching of people walking over the stones on the path (and someone is currently cutting the hedges by the sounds of it).

Are they outside on the grass? DOn't seem to have all courts playing, just 2 womens and 1 in the men, so assumed they were indoors ?

They're outdoors.

Kick-off was delayed to either 11.30 or 12, depending on the court

They're being played on the grass, however the first matches on the other courts have been pushed back to NB 12.45 as they aren't covered courts so still drying out...

Court 7 has 6 matches to be played and has yet to begin play.

I don't know how hard it is to get hold of court covers, but you really would think after the last few days they would have brought some in...surely an investment worth making at a tournament that runs every year

Sonay took a little time to get up and running but settled down and took the set 6-3.

If you have Bet365, I find their streams much more reliable than ITF...

Eden & Coco taking a ludicrously long time to get to court considering the time pressures today...

It might be raining as umbrellas are up but yet again no covers on the grass.

The players do not want to play as it could be dangerous. It looks as if no one else is sure what to do.
