Glad you got down CD and appreciate the insight. Hope the rain didn't spoil things too much
It came right on lunchtime (if you like your lunch quite early) so the first hour was fine. The second hour was a bit more of a pain but it's very nice inside the marquee thingy, comfortable, reasonably warm, and lots of players hanging around so quite fun to watch - the Aussies, as normal, were on very good form and entertaining
I'm extremely jealous. I had always intended to go tomorrow for first round matches plus some doubles but can't manage the journey after all. Keep up the reports (of you go again of course)
On bbc sport article about Andy it states that Heather Watson, Katie Boulter (as well as Harriet) are in the womens surbiton tournament. Don't they look at the draws etc?
Nice analysis Droity. Down on jezza, surely not !. Thinking of going as well. Do that let anybody into that marquee thingy or is it just for the " Elite " types. Enjoy
Grass courts do need to dry out, even from dew at this time of year if it hasn't rained. And it may well have rained in the night at surbiton as it was torrential in the night here (in the south but west of surbiton).

Oh absolutely true, but the courts with covers (I don't think all have them from memory?) would have allowed a slightly earlier start time. Even half an hour would have made a bit of a difference.
Sun has been back out for a little while and covers are off, but by the time they actually get themselves sorted the rain will be back as Madaman says.
asked this on the mens, but does Surbiton have indoor options if they needed them? Maybe to finish off qualies? Or later in the week if they needed them, say for the doubles?
