On the women's side we have one WC through to the nexr round so we need Jodie to step up and join her.

Another bitterly disappointing result for Harriet Dart-O'Brien....

In fairness I think Stevanovic played very well (and does list grass as her favourite surface)

I caught the end and Stevanovic was excellent

She did play well, particularly after Harriet handed her the game at *5-3 absolutely. But Harriet should have had the match done.

Jodie clinging on 3-4*

Perhaps to go alongside the 'Which British woman will get the most wins on grass?' we could have a 'Which non  Brit woman will win the most matches against Brits on grass?' Stevanovic may be the early leader as she also had 2 in qualifying.

Although the score line wasn't close, Isabelle wasn't outclassed at all at this level. She broke her opponent's serve a few times and went toe to toe in a number of long rallies. She's very calm and can offer variety in her shot selection. She could probably do with playing some doubles as her net play didn't quite match up to her ground strokes. But great experience for her.

Well done Jodie, squeaked out that set after letting a big lead in the tiebreak go.

Well done Jodie. Really not impressed by Zhu, hopefully Jodie can close this out. Live rankings have her down in the 290s if she loses.

OER and live-tennis have Jodie as currently live low 270s on 253 points. These points look right with a best non counter of 7 points replacing a 25 pointer dropping off.

She would though drop behind Sonay who is live up to 257 points so live GB #8.

Hopefully Jodie can win her match here and go back ahead of Sonay for now.

Yes Jodie! The frustrations make it all the sweeter when she gets it right!
