Here we are, a delay whilst I processed American play overnight!
I have set a 24 hour vote limit on the poll so it will close automatically if it all works correctly (sometimes it doesn't!). For clarity, the vote will close at 9.10 am, Tuesday morning, when I will announce the result
Usual rule - vote for the player listed below that you think is our British player of the month - for whatever reason you choose.
Player with the most votes will win, a tie will remain as a tie, no tie break vote off etc.
Top 2 players will qualify for Player of the Season vote in December!
11 nominations this month - plyaers listed in the order they were nominated; please add any comments at any time saying more about a player if you believe I have under represented them or their context. And please tell us who you voted for!!
Jack Draper - beating WR 27 Sonego, in first ever clay ATP Tour level match, at Madrid Masters
Sam Murray Sharan - W60 doubles title in Koper, Slovenia (with Xenia Knoll),taking her inside the top 100 in doubles.
Sonay Kartal - W25 Nottingham singles champion two weeks running, and entered top 300 for first time.
Neal Skupski - Won Madrid Masters Doubles title, first Masters title

Billy Harris - won M25 Nottingham 4, his first M25 title; won his first match at challenger level.
Julian Cash - won 3 M25 doubles titles in 3 straight weeks for an unbeaten month , 12-0 , and 6 titles ytd, highest of all the Brits
Cam Norrie - won ATP250 title in Lyon. First ATP title on clay
Beth Grey - semis of W25 Portugal on comeback following heart surgery.
In this curtailed month, I felt I could vote for several players who had done well. A shout out from me to Sonay and also a shout out to Julian Cash for winning three titles in three weeks
But ultimately, I felt winning a clay ATP250 was the tops and give my vote to Cam
having posted this in the morning, I am expecting a quite different voting pattern today, slower and then more in the evening this evening as opposed to a quick start and slow finish...let's see how it goes!!
Our record for votes is 40 and we got 52 plus in the recent British grass courts poll.
I have put a little marketing post in the womens and mens sections to point people here in case they dont usually visit the general section!!
I don't normally post who I vote for (I rather like the random, 'behind the scenes' nature of it all - but I DO always vote)
BUT I'm normally always so dismissive of his singles ability (which hasn't changed, tbh) and felt a bit badly, AND three titles at 25k level in three weeks is pretty mega, so I voted for Julian to say sorry for being such a non-believer

I thought you might and I was very tempted - if Cam hadn't have won the Lyon event at the weekend, Julian would have got my vote also!!!

Yeah, but didn't Cam win the same/bigger events last year, too? I mean, he's done it already - just standing still - treading water - that can't be POM calibre surely ?

yeah, but it is clay, CD!! Brits don't win on clay and Cam never has before (been in finals, admittedly!!).
A bit like Sonay - she has won these British W25 events plenty of times this year now, surely a couple this month is not worthy of any merit
Hi QueenJKonta - no one nominated her! Theres been a nomination thread all month as there is every month and anyone can nominate anyone they feel deserves it. You could have nominated her?!
I hope you have a vote anyway and next month please keep a look out and feel free to nominate
