And Anna has a SE into the following tournament - although as she was Q1 on the acceptance list she'd have got into the main draw anyway. She's drawn Sonmez (TUR) WR534

Well done Anna. You can only beat who is on the other side of the net, and this was some good scheduling that's paid off. Huge achievement.

What a week

Whether the strongest W25 or not, that is a great run of results from Anna against decently ranked seeded players leading into the final before getting the job done very efficiently there. And a really big step up from before in her comeback.

40 ranking points will rise to 90 and that big CH taking out her old one from her first coming.

Hopefully Maia can now get properly back on track post long covid. Could have a decent pair there for future BJK Cups

Brilliant - well done. All the more so for doing this the hard way with little in the way of a helping hand from the LTA earlier in the year.

Very strange initial comment this Ive got to say. Had it been EWS there would be cartwheels no doubt. She beat the number 2 seed and several players ranked above her by some distance. But then she is going against the grain with the Tennis bodies so maybe thats why.

Anyway onwards and upwards, two more 25ks here. I also note Maia is playing abroad as well initially. There certainly seems to be a Scotland/UK divide developing. Mind you Andy and Jamie experienced that as well, did it for themselves and that worked out fine.
