RIP Barb's ranking, she loses almost half of her points (inc 2021 Strasbourg) and will be 12th at most, but possibly a fair bit lower. She probably did come back too soon, and did look to run out of gas, but that's a huge moment for Parry.
I'm not a big fan, but I did feel a bit sorry for Krej - she always goes on about court selection and not feeling the love generally since winning her slam, and yet the crowd were right on her back for that (trademark) lengthy 2nd set extended bathroom break, and got a fair bit of boos.
I believe that's also just the 2nd top 100 player Parry has ever beaten, after Haddad Maia. I was shocked to see her in the top 100, thought she was a MDWC, but she seems to have built up her 90 odd ranking under the radar on the clay ITF and 125k scene.

What's going on with Ferro CD? This time 14 months ago she and Badosa both lost in the Lyon 250 SF, Ferro ranked 46 and the 2nd seed, Paula ranked 73rd and the 7th seed, but they've obviously had a massively contrasting time since then, they play tomorrow in R1 and Fiona is an average 12.84 which is almost 12/1, and you can get 15/1 - they are both 1997s as well, but Ferro seems to have had a shocking time of late and has played a fair amount of events in that time.
I have seen her get some decent wins, and play well at RG in the past, but those odds would suggest she's almost chopped liver, and Paula hasn't been massively convincing herself in recent weeks.
Jacquemot is delivering precisely the sort of performance I'd be expecting from any of our wildcards against a 30 year old ranked outside the top 100 with their best days behind them (sorry I have huge respect for Hev and always want her to win, but it's true!) at Wimbledon. Credit to her for rising to the occasion.
Heather clung on for as long as possible in miserable conditions but it was the French girls day. Couldn't escape the *3-4 game despite saving 5 break points, then wasted 2 of her own in the final game to lose 3-6 3-6. The wildcard totally deserved it.
Emma making a total hash of things, she should be miles clear, wasting a lot of chances with bad play.
A weak tiebreak from Emma, consistently setting up the ball nicely for Noskova to pummell away. The kid is undeniably talented, big easy hitting off both wings, but Emma should have been away and clear early on and has allowed herself to be sucked into this with some poor decision making throughout the set.
6-7(4) *0-0
