In light of the ATP decision to cancel ranking points at Wimbledon, the organisers of this poll event have conferred. It is clear that a British win is a British win regardless of who is or isnt playing and therefore all wins at Wimbledon and the qualifying events will still count in this competition.

A press release will follow in due course

I think the organizers of this poll [which is generally held in high esteem, and is seen to uphold the highest standards of <whatever>] have been left in an impossible position, and have therefore taken the only course of action open to them. I for one, applaud the organizers for their strong leadership and their fundamental aim (ie. to avoid litigation in the courts of this unfair land) on this historic day for ......

PS. can we do something about the scaling of the poll results, perhaps try logarithmic scale?

 biggrin

thank you kind sir. Payment in the post.

re the poll scales - yes, it is rather flat with one person dominating. Blame it on lack of imagination/ risk taking rather than the poor visual effects available !

An amazing poll beating 47 votes in, most weve had on a poll on this board I think.

Still a week to go, could we reach 50? 60?

And will everyone who voted here please vote in the PoM tomorrow night as well please !!

I have only just noticed that the post Wimbledon men's 25Ks are on grass whereas the women's are on hard courts which is a bit disappointing. I wonder why they have done that?

Maybe there will be a late surge and the poll will end up 52 / 48 ( ignoring the fact there s more than 2 in it !) and arguments will rage for years to come !

49 votes, just one more needed for a fifty not out !

The mens poll languishes strangely on 40 votes now though - would be great to even it up just a little if people could ?!

Here is a link, please help out our men, and make them feel wanted !

Have been a long LONG time lurker on this message board but this poll finally convinced me to register

just like supporting all the GB players. Bit of nerd and watch as many matches online  as possible at all levels.

Voted for Emma but favourite players are Harriet, Katie and EWS. Was actually really impressed with what I saw of Lily in RG qualies.

If she stays fit Emma is likely to be the queen of the main draw events but who will be the queen of the qualifying events, because she could well be the winner in this competition. Who is good enough to qualify for all the events and maybe win a match or two in the main draw but who never gets a main draw wild card?

53 votes in now for this, fabulous!

I have updated the opening post to show only events that Brits are playing in or may play in as entry lists have started to appear.

Vote closes this coming Saturday
