I need a drink and/or a lie down.

Think it was match point 3 after saving 4 set points.

Next round looks promising too, but I'm waiting for the result of the next match on court before posting.

Edit - I was only following live scores - Em usually loses if I watch a stream !

Me too, that was exhausting. I was following between helping my 99 year old mother with her lunch - jeez

Lets hope it goes better than last time Sizikova was on the other side of the net (although I think that coincided with something happening off court tbf).

A shame they got such a tough draw compared to EWS.

And it could have been more convincing - they had a lot of break points !

A huge step up but a fantastic achievement this week so far.

I hope (not least because I rashly tweeted it) that this really will be Emily's first main tour semi-final - I was wondering whether she had made one when she got close to the top 100 in the middle of the last decade but couldn't find one by trawling through her results on ITF.

No she's definitely not made a semi at a WTA Steven - that year she got up to 113 it was from winning big challengers in the States mainly.

For some reason this isn't on Prime.

2-6 *0-0

As with Lissey and Liv at the start of the week, the amount of work they need to do just to win a point is ridiculous. They get to everything, such good reflexes and instincts.

Broken from 40-15, Niculescu so solid today, she's everywhere and got an answer for everything.

1-2*
