Unfortunately RG say that wildcards aren't for sale However, I still have hope as in 2005 a 50K challenger wc turned up for sale on ebay so I'm checking around.
As long as Alex's ranking stays below 140 he should be safe for a RG qualies seeding.

I would play some futures qualies but you have to be 4.2 to get in [this is why Robert Dee never plays futures qualies in Britain, his LTA rating of 6.2 isn't good enough.]
1.1 or 1.2 is top level national player: eg all of the top 30 Brits.
2.1-4.1: These are top level county players - they play British tour and futures qualies and Britain's top juniors are ranked about 2.1-3.1 aswell - eg Dan Cox and Dan Evans.
4.2-5.2: Might be county standard depending on which county it is.
4.2-6.2: British tour standard
County junior standard: 3.1-7.2
Top club players: Usually around 4.2-6.2. At my club it's 1.1-5.2 as our first team consists of Arvind Parmar, James Thomas [brother of Guy who was in the world's top 50 juniors] and several other county players.
Medium club player: 6.2-8.2
Lower club player: 8.2-13.1
If I played more I would be at least 7.1 in the LTA ranks, which would get me onto the Herts junior team - it's so strong at the moment, we have Ed Corrie and David Rice as our top 2 players. I won the mens singles at our club last summer but played sparsely after that and lost form gained in summer - will be like that every year until I go to uni.
