I was going to say it's good that she's giving these clay events a go, although I guess with those Chinese and Japanese W60-W100 May hard court events off the calendar for a few years now, there's very little non clay alternative outside of the likes of Nottm W25.

Very much so.
W25s give 30 points for reaching the final.
W60s give 1 and 8 points for losing in R1 and R2 respectively.
Overall it goes :
W25: 0 / 5 / 9 / 18 / 30 / 50
W60: 1 / 8 / 15 / 29 / 48 / 80
W25s are generally more like mini challengers ( and generally attract stronger fields ) compared to M25s with their much lower points. For a long time though the W25 points to prize money ratio has been anomalous and has got more so.
