Who is commentating on Emma's match v. Iga on Amazon Prime?

 Nick Lester and Olga Savchuck

Olga Savchuck is the captain of the Ukraine Billie Jean King cup team. I read somewhere she lives in London.

Well, she's made four games, so I'm doing OK

But paulisi is right in that it wasn't close, Emma was pretty battered in that set, but served well.

Not watching it, but the best clay courter at the moment v a novice on clay should always be a mismatch.

But it was not the mismatch that you'd expected.

Way more promising than that. Which is all to the good.

She got 8 games, not 3.

And although she was pretty battered, it was very good how she made her statement and held her ground.

I'm sure Emma will be very satisfied with that performance, probably far more than Iga. Yes, she was battered in some games, but she also had quite a few chances in the second set and was getting better as the match progressed. I hope the niggle she had treatment for is nothing serious - it didn't seem to affect her towards the end of the match.

That was Iga's 11th successive win in straight sets. Emma winning 8 games was the most anybody had managed in the 11 matches.

Plus two BJK matches last week for the loss of ONE game !!

I thought Emma played reasonably well.

Serve was generally good though Iga punished anything that wasn't precise enough.

Initial groundstroke after her serve could have been a lot better.

Her defensive slice backhand failed her too often. Groundstrokes were patchy, good at times but too often left short centrally which Iga simply hit for winners.

Raducanu wasted a big chance to finish the point that cost her the break for 1-2* in the 2nd set and couldn't come up with anything to hurt Swiatek on the 4 break points she had late in the match. Indeed her play on break points was poor overall.

Return of serve seemed to improve as the match went on but rarely did any damage.

It's difficult for her to make such a leap from Storm Sanders and Tamara Korpatsch to playing Iga. Hopefully she learned a lot.

Very good showing from Ms Raducanu, I thought. I was definitely hoping that she wouldn't be embarrassed, and she definitely wasn't.

I need to correct this as including BJK matches it is 13 in a row in straight sets. Simona Halep actually won  more games 10. But in Iga's  last 11 matches Emma has won more games than anybody else. Iga has won 21 matches in a row.  The last player to take a set of Iga was Angie Kerber. The last player to  defeat Iga was Jelena Ostapenko.

Iga has made it 23 singles wins in a row by winning Stuttgart. Anke Huber was well in evidence in the final as she is involved in the running of the tournament.

Emma has split with Beltz. Hmm... not sure all this chopping and changing is ideal. She'll find it harder to find people if they don't think she's committed to a decent term of development together.
