Anna did well to close out after being 1-4 down in the second set, but reverse fortunes for Adeola who went from 3-0 up in the first 8 minutes to losing 11 of out 12 games in the next hour to lose 3-6 1-6.

I hope Adeola goes to US college. She strikes me as someone who would really benefit (decent ball skills and athletic prowess, but technically all a bit ropey)
Managed to miss this yesterday, but looking at the qualifying and the (lack of Brits in the) Acceptance List, it looks like it could be another forgettable home ITF event. The entry list doesn't look particularly strong for a GB W25, but while there are obviously reasons (other commitments / oportunities), only having Eden sneaking into a main draw where direct entry is almost reaching 600 is pretty disappointing.
Probably Talia, Jasmine, and 2 of Mimi, Isabelle, Ranah with the MDWCs so a bit of excitement there, and perhaps opportunities as well with the general field strength, but can't see the LTA being happy putting on more home events and only having 5 or 6 in the 32 person main draw, 4 of those via wildcards.
Yeah, qualifying not going great. Freya was a slight favourite in her match, but the opponent is serving for the match, Lauryn lost 3-6 3-6, and Anna's opponent has been in very good form at W25 main draw level recently, so she will be up against it there.
